The stock NTC3 is ok I guess, if that's what you like. It never was consistant for me. I have always thrived in taking something that's good or ok and making it better. That's just me!. I've never wanted something that looks and drives like 1000 other guys cars. My car is more consistant, has better stabilty, easier to work on and is 100 grams lighter than stock. So... what's wrong with that?
All my upgrades has put the FUN back into racing for me and my son, after all, isn't that what its all about? FUN?

I guess if Baker was allowed to run a car with all our upgrades , I think he would have put 10 laps on the field. Then what would you guys be saying? Stock is good? I don't think so!

Intimadator: If your car is fine in stock form, then why you ask me all the questions?

Boomer: Glad you like the BMI Chassis! It kinda goes with what I'm trying to say here! (Good things can always be made better!) You can turn that G-1 into almost a G-2 for about $40 if you know a good machinist. You can shave about 80 grams off it, if weight is an issue.

I hear that. I would love to try the g1 or g2 myself, but I have been having much success with the car as is. Kind of hard to shell out that kind of dough on a chassis with the wife breathing down my neck to fix the house instead.

Weight isn't an issue.

I modded the chassis brace near the pinions so they would clear. The motor and clutch are stock but still wouldn't clear. I'm using the stock mounts so that might be the problem. It's all good now.

I had to mod the throttle servo area, but, again, a known issue and it's fine now. In fact, I did some linkage re-engineering and it's even better now than it was before. . .

Hmm: I see nothing but a NTC3 with the wrong body on it! At least with that style body the carrying handle is good for something I guess other than weight! The exposed shocktowers also really make it special.
BTW, A NTC3 with a stock pipe, looks like a car with serious bladder issues!.

Guys, I just drilled into my old worn out cvds and now they can be used again. The worn out cvds was worn out on the aluminium cvd where the hole to put the pin in became elongated. So I drilled 90 degrees from the orignal hole and walla the cvd is now useable again.

sbmon- It's not that they don't need/want to run the aftermarket stuff, it's that they can't! How would it look for factory drivers to be out there running a NTC3 with a BMI chassis. Now I'm not saying that the AE chassis is garbage either, but AE is not going to let their guys be seen with that because that's like them admiting or advertising that "if you get a NTC3 you need to go out and spend another 180 on a BMI chassis to make it competitive". That's just not going to happen. Truth be told unless you are in the top 5% in your area the BMI chassis probably won't do much for you anyway.

Isn't that the case for 95% of the hop up parts out there?
