The motors do not work as well when reversed polarity is used.I find the mod I did very simple. There is no actual cuting involved of any metal just some plastic that makes for sure shot starting. You do not need to make those jigs out of the bumper kydex. You could use pegs like the box comes with.
I just think it is simpler to move the wheel to the other side (the switch side of the box) leaving the motors towards the panel.Keep in mind soldering makes for better contacts regaurdless of what mod you do.
Another mod I have done with my box is run the motors in parallel instead of in series. It does not matter how tight the engine in your car is this will turn it over real quick.Only drawback is you will use the battery in the box quicker.Avoid long bursts of usage when doing this tho as the 550 size motors can handle the power just not for extended starting.Let them cool if you think you are heating em up.

Default Gas Tank Mod

OK,

I am just doing a sanity check:

I fit the lid with a pressure fitting and rand the pressure line to that fitting on top of the lid, then I plugged the tank pressure input (melted it with an iron). Anything else? I think thats all I needed to do...

Someone give me a thumbs up if I'm right,,,

Thanks

Well why didn't you just ask me before you snatched my picture from my thread-just kidding. Yeah that is a General Silicone 90 degree pressure fitting. I got 2 of em for $3.50.

Has anybody ever thought of cutting the nipple that hangs down inside the tank? I was thinking that you might be able to pick up a couple minutes of runtime if the straw wasn't there.

The problem I see is that even with the straw cut off, the inlet is still under the fuel when the tank is near full. It'll still cause a lot of bubbles. A bigger issue; it being so close to the pick up will IMO allow the bubbles to be sucked in the inlet easier. If the bubbles were formed away from the pick up, it'll give them a better chance of reaching the top and popping and not going into the carb.

I'm planning to buy the .12 Collari engine. I heard it won't fit our cars (NTC3). Anybody confirm this? If it's a problem....anybody has a fix for it? Thanks in advance.

Should there be some up and down play when mounting the clutch bell assembly on the Nitro TC3?

If I put another shim under the bearing it takes away the play and still spins properly. Is there a reason for the play?

The motor is a RB X12 - with SG shaft.
