[QUOTE=ratherBracin;4751597]from my experience the only nitros that are faster than electric are top fuel dragsters and funny cars... but you're right, flameouts are fun[/Q
Then I should just race that toy Corr truck ?
No Way !

i would like to see an example of a name-brand, new-design, 4wd, nitro, rtr that retails for much less, at least one that's not a piece of junk ... maybe that's it

by chance is there real beadlocks

Maybe...
Personally I'm not real crazy about the wheels, too much backspacing. But I s'pose you'll get that from a 1/8th Buggy crossover. Of course, making the body a hair wider would've made it possible to have a deeper wheel.

from the pics it looks like the chasis is longer than a stardard rc8, chasis is probally from the rc8t with the rc8 arms and stuff, looks like they even copy the tread design that the real corr trucks race with, race or bash i want 3 of them...............

They're REALLY trick-looking in person. From a few feet away, they almost look like some Tamiya scale model or something. Supposedly, they literally took the measurements and scaled down from a real truck and tried to keep it as close as possible.

Our Slash class is growing at our track.
We don't have less than 16 slashes every wednesday night and saturdays.
On Wednesdays, for the slash-only races the on-road guys come out with theirs and we have more entrants than during our normal Saturday club races when we run both the 1/8th scale and 10th scale tracks.
I just don't see momentum behind a $500 kit with no class. I still love the slash simply due to it's simplicity and the ability to just have fun with my slash even if I'm having a bad engine day in Buggy or Truggy. It just plain works. In 6 weeks, I still have yet to add anything to my slash except shock oil.
If they could get a class going, I wouldn't mind replacing Truggy with one of the AE types, as I've always thought that truggy was kind of silly, as it's just a bigger Buggy, and the more competitive they get the more buggy the truggys get.

I still think this truck will be successful and find an audience, hopefully the nitro guys will embrace this as a new vehicle to run in the same way that electric guys embraced the Slash...but a lot of that is going to fall on pricing. I'd like to see this truck do well too, I really like the whole notion of a CORR RC class, with vehicles that look and perform like the real deal.
If the price is low enough and I wouldn't have to go out and buy a whole mess of support equipment (starter boxes, etc...etc...), I might just jump on the SC8 bandwagon. I'm operating on the assumption that this truck is going to run us over $400, though...too rich for my blood, right now.
