1.00 EUR = 1.56761 USD
That rules out X-ray CorallyTeam Magic and Schumacher
1.00 JPY = 0.00937655 USD worst then the euro
Tamiya Hotbodies TOP and Kyosho
you better hope that Canada starts making TC's
1.00 CAD = 0.985244 USD
Dawgs pick Blackstock to TOP and Tosolini to Kyosho

Xray and the others would be getting a bargain to hire Mike and Toso.

Remember when AMB transponders were cheap? Guess why they became expensive, the falling dollar. Most people do not realize, that the reason that costs for goods these days are going up is because the sinking value of the dollar (oil included). Your idea is backwards, you assume that the headquarter's fully funds the sponsorship cost. The US distributors have to buy product from Europe. Most likely at a set euro rate, as time goes on, they have to pay more in dollars to make up for the difference. They then take the profit in the country and use on things like sponsorships. I assume, in this case, Corrally US can't just raise the price of their kits like amb did due to competition. So therefore the cost is much higher for them these days, making it harder to sponsor drivers.

The increased cost of oil makes it more expensive to ship things to China to be manufactured, and that too drives up costs everywhere. Combine that with the weak dollar, and things start to get ugly. I'm scared for R/C.
I suppose maybe you'll see more manufacturing jobs stay close to home, since it's going to become less of a value to ship things around the planet (twice).
