A reminder to anyone who races 1/5th OnRoad or 1/8th OnRoad, we are currently taking EOI's for Worlds Spots this year.

IFMAR World Championships Large Scale
Famar Bloc, Argentina

IC Large Scale Touring 25 Nov ~ 2 Dec with 1/8th GT 4 ~ 8 Dec

IFMAR World Championships 1/8 IC Track
EFRA Bloc - Monteux, France
Date: September 08 - 17

these types of eevnts should really be a bucket list item for anyone who takes their racing even a little bit serious!

Cut off for applications is in 2 weeks - so get talking to your family, look at the bank account balance and put your name forward!

We will of course have limited spots, but I expect anyone who wants to go, and is committed will get accepted. please fill in preliminary information at the link below.

Hi,
Are all batteries on the ROAR and BRCA approved for use at Australian sanctioned events for 1/10 EP? (I.e 2s lipo, shorty, saddle, stick)
If so, are the 7.6V shorty's on those lists legal through ARCCMCC?

They are legal but you can only charge them up to 8.4 volts still.

If you are talking 1/10 offroad by the current rule set they are not legal, nominal capacity must not exceed 3.7V per cell which is 7.4V
But I have been told that the rules will be changed on the 1st of July so you can use 7.6V packs

Has anyone heard any information regarding a price cap on motors in spec classes? I believe rules have been passed in the U.S. and Europe on this matter recently.

I have seen something somewhere. So if they change them and it effects what is and what isn't on the ROAR & BRCA lists. That means these rule changes effect us.

As we must use motors on those lists. Worth following up.

Regarding the Stock Spec ESC list, is there an updated version available? On the website, it is dated January 2012, and from what I can see some of the newest ESC's are not listed.

Looking for an updated list to use for scrutineering.

We used this at Nationals

ROAR Racing

Any queries we searched Ifmar / BRCA etc on a tablet, was only one regarding a software version. 99% of ESC's now used for stock spec (blinkY) will be on that list

Thank you, that's perfect. We recently had one driver using a Hobbywing ( not Justock ) who when it was noted did not have a flashing light, indicated that his ESC does not flash in blinky mode.
I cannot see a model in that list that matches it.

What Speedo was it exactly? There is an older HW that is non adjustable and doesn’t blink.

You should look at the BRCA list as well as the ROAR one. It provides a little more detail typically as well.
