Which is fastest?

those batts will work fine, you can get more performance by going to a match pack, but they will run your car

I was gonna ask at the hobby shop which gearing I should go with when I decide which motor to go with. Usually though I get the answer "Im into nitro and dont know much about electric, we just sell the electric stuff"
I was wondering though. If Im going to be spending the smae amount of money should I go with the fastest motor available as long as I have the capability to set voltage cutoff. Could I use voltage cutoff with a 3.5T sensored setup and just lower the voltage to suit my neess for either all out speed or lower it for better control? or are there problems with lowering the cutoff point? Will it cause issues?

if you really wont speed , get the orion vortex 2.5 with the vortex speed controller , but from what you mentioned i would say the orion 3.5 with it's speed controller . I would say orion is faster then LRP because it has more watt and more holles for cooling .About venom i have no idear . And for mamba it dosent have enough kv then the other motor like orion or lrp orion is around 12,300kv lrp is 11,900 and mamba is only 7700.
Hope this helped

i own a 3.5 in my corally rdx,7.4 lipo, low spur gear and high pinion....its wicked fast
i would say when you but hole has to pucker to drive it....thats freckin awsome......
anyways....you can always adjust the "throw" epa...or whatever on your radio if its too fast...or reprogram the speed controller to do what you want it to...as long as your esc can program!
greg...my 3 cents....

i got the mamba 7700. I got a good deal pricewise on it. I wish it were a little faster with a 6 cell but with a 7 cell its perfect. Im not sure what gearing I should go with. Its stock now. I wonder how high I can gear it with it still in the safe temp range?

I wouldnt say one is faster than the other as gearing and other setup choices can impact on this.
I am running in Modified with the following..
TA05MS
LRP 3.5T Vector x11 Brushless
LRP TC Spec ESC
5 cell pack (situated towards the rear)
FDR is 12:1 on a short/tight carpet track.
FDR is at 11.45:1 on a slightly larger asphalt track with longer straights.
My gearing either gets me to 57km/h in 27metres or 59km/h in 29metres (theoretically). The distances here are roughly the lengths of the main straight on each of the 2 tracks I race on.
9800kv in the LRP3.5T in 5 cell gives it 58800rpm. With the 6 cell pack it pushes to 70560rpm.

i know one guy who bought it 2 years ago and it has been in 1/12 handmade pan car he had problems selling it cuz it`s too fast. Then beginner in 1/12 bought it. He can make burnout on carpet in 1/2 second. Track is technical and on straight it pops wheelie just because of the power. It`s crazy fast and i`ve tried it soooo much fun.

wait his car pops wheelies with the 3.5! thats sick! I run an older neo-one 4star in a yokomo and it is 9000kv. Its scary. I personally cant control it unless I turn it down and I've been drving it for over a year now...
