Default LIPO Regulators IN ST-RR

I just had my first race with a ST-RR this weekend and the loss the electronics during my main and smashed into a hay bale. After looking at it, my Losi regulator burned out. Is this due to the fact that the Kyosho's electronics is located next to the engine where it sees extreme heat or is it a fluke? In order for my regulator and LIPO pack to fit, it has to be put in the bigger inside box and my receiver is in the outside smaller box.

I have been running a LIPO with a Losi Regulator for the last 8 months and never had an issue with in my Losi buggy/truggy. I run the regulator and receiver in the front case.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

It wasnt the heat, Take a look at other buggys and truggys and you will see that the electronics box's are all next to the motor. If you are still worried about it, I have seen guys mount there regulator on top of there transponder mount. If you have a personal transpoder it works great, if you dont, it wont work so well.

Thanks for the reply, maybe it was just it's time. I will try it again and see how she does.

BTW, I race in PHX and it gets pretty hot around here.
