Why?

Maybe just to be different? Maybe there thinking is to protect the stringer more? Looks like a way to pack more mud/dirt into the chassis to me.

Doesn't matter anyway I guess, its a buggy I would never run...

Let's see now.

-Greatly increases the risk of killing the engine if the car bottoms-out after a jump.

-Makes priming upon start-up more awkward.

-Makes killing the engine more awkward when powering-down.

Sounds like a winning idea to me.

nah when you want to shut it down you just push the car so the chassis is flat on the ground.
Nothing like spraying oil directly on the track

its not as great idea at all
on really muddy tracks it will get jamed in the chassis and in the pipe resulting in power loss or flame out
and it looks like it might limit some of the pipes on the market
and it may make the body look clean but looks dont take the wins performance does and that is definitely not good performance

but as mentioned i dont care cause ill never be running it

Now on a Gas Truck where the pipe just kinda hangs off the side of the chassis behind the door and with nothing underneath it to begin with, locate the stinger high up enough above the chassis and it might be a neat alternative. Trying to give my GT2 a bit of a "desert prerunner" theme, I've already considered trying it. Real prerunners don't have the exhaust coming out the middle of the door!
