JP-3 or JP-4??????
I am currently running the JP-1. Is it true that you cant run the 1 2 or 3 at any sanctioned races? I would like to attend a few this summer so if that is true the JP-4 is the only option. I kinda wanta versatile pipe also because I am going to be switching out mills sooner or later also. So what do you guys think? Thanks

It really depends on what you want to race. ROAR will let them all go but IFMAR won't. You'll be fine with any of them for almost any race in North America.

Stick with the JP3. Much better than the JP4.

JP-3 pipe is great for power but my run times are significantely lower when I use it, I find the JP-4 much better for that part. But it doesn't produce so much power........ JP-4 is what I use though because of the extra milage.

i run the jp-3 on my vspec and like it alot..i switched from the speed 2060 to the jp-3..

depends on the track size

someone said above that the JP-3 produces more power, and now you're saying that the choice between JP-3 and JP-4 depends on the track size.
Are you saying that one pipe (i don't know which) has more top end compared to the other? I'm running a JP-4 and I have no other pipe to compare with as this is my first pipe.
Kindly advice, thanks!

General consensus is that the 4 is better all around. Smoother, broader powerband with better mileage.

JP series pipes are the best allround in terms of performance and durability.
JP3 is great in buggy on tight to med tracks but JP4 is the pipe for long tracks.

I'm still running a JP-1. Tons of tourque. I have to vouch for the durability of the JP pipes. I've had mine for three years now and dont plan on changing unless something happens to it. The thing is virtually dent free and i've been hit hard on that side mony o' times. If I were to switch it would be for the JP-4 because of the reasons listed above.
