The RS has all the features of the R1 and more. You will still be pc compatible through Hotwire too. You will love the RS!

Ok so The RS Pro is replacing the R1 Pro.
Now this is going in an AE B44.
I was going to be using the Redline pc link and the redline 448 BL motor
Is this still a good combo or is their something better?

It will not actually "replace" the R1 as the R1 will still be built but ultimately the RS will be the top of the ladder.

Using the RS you will want to use one of the sensored motors that can be found here:

Strapped the RS in my truck last night. wholy stuff it is smooooooth. I was running a 6.5L novak and it was a bit to hot on the bottom end. I found with the RS I could tune it to be very very smooth on the throttle. A real improvement. Next big test will be making the 6.5 go 30 mins on dual Tekin 3400's. All the Tekin stuff rocks in the off-road. As proven at the Hank in Spokane. 2 win's and a TQ. One with a R1-pro and 632 redline and One with the FX-pro and 12/2 Brood that hadn't been rebuilt in 20+ run's. The FX is that easy on the comm.

A small detail, the Tekin Redline sensorless motors are legal in France.

I just would like to know if Tekin will continue to support there sensorless design.
I just want to know because I found the motor very good but if i want to change the bearing or the rotor it might be difficult to find one ...

Mister T, Yes we will continue on with our sensorless motor line and the R1 series speed control. We run them alot in our off road trucks and buggies.

Yeah,

I still run my R1 Pro and 448 in my wheeler. The smoothness is great and the power is awesome. The Redline motors are very efficient and have great smooth torque. Perfect for offroad.

We're getting ready to launch a new 20 min Lipo mod truck class at our outdoor track. I'm looking to run the 537 motor with the Tekin lipo. Shoud be ace, I'll post pictures when I'm done building(new truck).

^^^this draws a question out^^^^^
I just got the RS Pro because i could not get a R1 so no the question is sensored or sensorless for my b44? (redline 448 sensorless or 4.5 sensored)
sorry for the noob questions I'm more of an 1/8 buggy guy looking to run some 1/10.
thanks for the continued answers to my questions.

If it is 4 cell go for the RS sensored. For 6 cell and when using the 448 or any of our sensorless motors the R1 is still sweet. We still all prefer the sensorless motors in offroad because of the feel. The RS can run all of them.

Ran Pro Stock buggy here locally and found out once again that I'm very happy to run Tekin. A fellow racer was running a qual and had his sensor harness fall out of his LRP/Orion combo. This left him dead in the middle of the track.

Since he's a friend I laughed and said "My Tekin RS would have kept going."

I ran for over 30 minutes in the 13.5 class and never went over 2 led's with a standard RS non pro.

I did bump my timing up to 75 to gain some more speed since I'm still with a bonded rotor, the sintered has a lot more powe all over. I was getting pulled on motor. I'll get 'em back when I get the new Tekin 13.5.
