Indoor Asphalt vs. Indoor Carpet

Like elnitro said, just get a chassis protector and go race. I bashed for ages and started racing a few months ago. Racing is heaps of fun as long as you, or the people you race with, don't take it too seriously.

If all I have to worry about is scratches then lets go racin'! I'm not in it going to race seriously, I just used to race quarter midgets and got too big, so now I'm going to give RC a go. All I want to do is go out, rub some wheels , and have a good time. I'd rather finish 4th and had a hundred lead changes than have someone lead the whole race, but thats the way I am, I love racing!

Then I'd say go ahead & give SRS a try, I bet you'll have a blast. Of course it's possible to damage your car, but not really any more so than from racing indoors. As I'm sure you know, that's the nature of racing(like the old saying, "Rubbin's racin' "), so just go out & have fun.....

I've got an air compressor...it come's in handy
This is my second TC3, so I know what tend to be weak spots, just want this thing to stay new.

Hey Me+RC=$$$, I might be racing right beside you at scottsdale racetrack because I am moving to Arizona sometime next year. So I guess my FT TC3 will get alittle scratched from the bumpy parking lot too.

Just a thought but..isnt that what racing is all about?..to have to fine tune youre car to the tracks changing?..whether its outside or inside..asphalt changes with changes in temp and humidity..and you will need to set youre car up right..carpet stays the same..seems like slot car racing..the same grip everytime...just an observation..but for Me..I think that having to "tune" the car to a changing track is part of the fun...

But it is all about fun and beating your buddy that you came to the track with so you can rub it in all the way home and the rest of the week....

MarlboroRally - Yes fun but also very frustrating at times.
Ever just stared at your car for 10 minutes or more, completely cluless as to why it's not hooking up. I've been there quite a few times.
