So i has come to the ordering time for my TB-03D!

But i am having an hard time to decide which one to order!
The TB-03D #58420 or the TB-03D/With uppgrade pack #92206

The later one has 42mm drive shafts!
Does that mean that i can use wider wheels on that one?

The starting point for 17.5 is 3.5FDR.

We ran as high (or low) as 2.9 at the Reedy Race. I usually run somewhere between 3.0 and 3.4 depending on the track.

If you are running gobs of timing (anything over 10 degrees IMO being too much) you will not be able to run those FDR's you motor will over heat.

i think between me, J.Dy and Timmie... we put the TB-03 on the map.

i qualified 8th overall and finished 3rd after the triple a-mains. finished 9th in A1, 2nd in A2 and 2nd in A3.

you absolutely positively cant beat a shaft car when it comes to heads up starts. when they say go at the sound of the tone.. my car WENT!

chris, congrats on your podium finish. Your car looked really good out there.

I qualified 2nd in the B and took the lead before the hairpin but got taken out as fast as I took the lead . Got hacked a few more times and I was at the back of the field. I finished 3rd.

Timmie, it was nice to meet you. Your car is crazy fast!

Jimmy, nice to meet you as well and see you Sunday.

Tim Vales won GT1 with a 416 I believe.

I have yet to see results from "our Timmie" (Harrington) for his run in GT2.

It depends a lot on what you want to do with your car. Most of the focus is on racing here which usually has pretty strict motor requirements. Often, Castle's C36 motors aren't sanctioned.

However, for fun, the 4600 ought to be nice. Be sure your drivetrain is shimmed right and doesn't have too much play. Make sure your diffs aren't too loose.

I ran the 5700 in my TB-03 with stock gearing and I was at around 40mph with a 6-cell NiMH. It got pretty hot, so I had to be careful. Personally, though, it was just too fast. I'm running on a looser parking lot, and I prefer less motor and twisty tracks.

This month I plan on trying out the Mamba Max Pro with Novak's Ballistic motor. I'm a big fan of Castle's ESCs and I think the Novak's ability to change motor speed and rebuild it is just plain awesome.
