Maybe Tamiya decided they need cf reinforced chassis and stiffeners as stock to completely fix the alignment issue in the rear transmission. The released an addendum involving building the rear in a certain order but maybe it wasn't enough

What servo saver works best with the tb03. My tamiya one has play in it and the small kimbrough one I got isn't tall enough. Will the med one do the trick?

What springs front and rear work best?
Using upright position on front

I'm using a set of blue Tamiya TRF shocks with red springs rear and yellow front in the VTA class with a 21.5 BL motor.

It seems when I have the normal tamiya
Springs in I can only get down to 6mm
Ride height. If I put the short ones in
5mm is easy but it seems weak?
What is everybody else using? Short or

I too can't get the clearance much below 6-7mm no matter what I do. If I use the short shock springs it's too low. In the end I have the adjusting collars backed all the way off and the car handles OK.

Steve, you don't use roll bars on carpet? I recently picked up a tb03 and put a roll bar set on as i was accustomed to having to use them on my ta05.

You can add shims between the shock tower mount and the transmission case. It raises the shock tower, and lowers the car.

That makes good sense. I will put the spacers in. Do you put the spacers under the front as well? It seems to be almost at 5 mm.

I had to do it once, and I can't remember why.

Tamiya makes a 1mm lower blue aluminum spring retainer, pn 53876. Sometimes it's not enough, I can't get my TB04 low enough even with them in the front.

I tried roll bars last Sunday and my car changed for the worse. All that cost and effort only to remove them in the end. I do not run roll bars, but I am running in the VTA class. If I ran 17.5 blinky I might need them.

I also run an Mi5 in 17.5 blinky and some of the guys in this thread have taken to cutting 1mm off the bottom end (threaded end) of the shocks. When you thread the plastic lower shock mount the shocks are effectively shorter. Might work here as well.

Another option is to use spacers inside the shock on the shaft to limit the extension of the shock shaft.
