Thumbs up John's Outdoor Asphalt Track in Nanuet, N.Y.

Hello guys,

Anybody who wants to race with us here in Nanuet, NY are welcome!
We race 1/10 scale electric touring cars and IGT Spec-Class every
tuesday nights. Practice starts from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. We do three
qualifying and a 5 min. main. The first qualifying starts at 9pm and the
mains depending on the entries usually starts at 10pm.

There's a driver stand tower, electric outlets, spot lights for the track
and pit tables for drivers. Just bring extra tables and chairs if you're late.
We use the AMB lap counting system. Please bring your own PT.

"Maj" of Maj Hobby Shop usually has parts for your car there. He has
parts for XRay, Losi, Associated, Ofna, Kyosho IGT's etc.
For more info just contact "Maj" at http://www.majhobbyshop.com/

John, the owner of this place is a very cool guy. He's been doing this
for six years in a row now. This is his hobby since he was a kid. His
facility is free, that's why it's worth a try for all racers out there in the
Tri-State area!

The place is at County Gas Service, Inc.
83 West Nyack Road
Nanuet, NY 10954
845-623-3410

Hope to see you all soon!

For now, only Tuesday nights. If we get enough people to race IGT's, we're
thinking also on Friday nights. We'll let you know. Thanks for asking!

Ok guys here is the deal. Albert has posted lot's of info but some of it is going to change. After speaking with Maj there is going to be a club track setup. $30 dollars gets you 6 months of racing or more weather permitting. I race at many tracks and $30 is the entry fee for one day of racing, here you are getting a full season and then some. We will have a fee setup for those that dont want to join the club and those that have visitors that may only visit once.

John is a wonderful guy. He loves the hobby like you wouldnt believe. He works all day and then blows the track off for us to have a clean racing surface. He has never asked us for a penny. He provides us with electricy for charging, lights for the track and his space and time. We really want to make this a nice night of laid back racing for everyone.

Maj is providing an Amb timing system and will be carrying may parts with him. Having maj there is a great help because of vast RC knowledge.

We are going to be racing a few classes.

IGT (trying to keep with the kyosho spec rules)
1/10 touring open
1/10 pan car open
RWB (run what you brung)

Please post here or pm with your email address for our mailing list.

I have you guys considered running a Trans Am class? It looks like a cheap cost effective class that is more about having fun then winning. I would love to come up on a Tuesday and run some Trans Am.

Let me know if there is any interest in this.

Depending on where you are you can be 30-50 minutes from most nyc locations. It's up the 87 (major degan) a little after the tappanzee bridge.

We are going to be open to lot's of stuff. Right now myself and Maj both have plenty of cars and are going to try all types of stuff out. I havent actually looked at what the trans class actually is but i'll take a look. I just got my Gen X 10 and cant wait to try it out. I have a nice porsche and lambo body to put on it.

Cool man, I have an extra TC chassis and the Trans AM class looks like fun. Motor and batter rules don't have to be adapted, but it looks like fun to have to run 70s bodies with period correct paint and HPI "vintage" wheels and tires.

Take a look at the class and let me know what you think. If you guys want to run it, I will pick up a body and stuff and come run with your guys.
