If you need taller FDR you can use the 28T pinion instead.

hey guys,
i am interested in buying an FW-05R, but have heard they need some money spent on them to be race worthy, what needs to be bought, and how much and where from (preferably from hong kong based websites)

I buy my parts online from Tower Hobbies:

or shops in Hong Kong when I visit for business.

You would think that with the 46t Kawahara conversion you would have to run the smallest pinion, right?
Well I've just installed a JP FX12 T03 and a 21t pinion, and after 3 tanks of running in I feel it will require the 22t pinion to prevent wheelspin.
Just how much torque does a JP have?
(the STS Dragon could not pull a 21t pinion)

sorry guys i been reading about 20 pages skipping alot of post just to find a comparison with the FW-05R kit and the FW-05R hopped up version kit.
May i know what the hopped up kit has for extras? so far i've learnt that it has the front one way (which i dont need) and foam tyres.
I am 80% sure im gonna get this car!!! as i need a different driving style! compared to belts!
