I wouldn't recommend using Hara's location. Let's face it, at his level of racing there is much much less of a chance of getting slammed in the door. For the rest of us that location is pretty vulnerable.

yeah nothing like getting an HRS receiver smoked by somebody else plowing the side of your car, that's actually one of the things I don't like about some of the other belt cars out there is the rx location way out on the passenger side door, that could get expensive.

and the steering servo is already sticking out there without much protection (I know, I've broke one already) so why put the Rx in the same predicament?

How did it get wet and soaked with fuel in its original place? Your fuel person a little over eager with the bottle?!

lol. It's not my pitman though. It's me who can't keep the car fully stop when refueling

I know that when the fuel gets in the box, pretty much going to stay at the bottom of the box along with dirts, so you have to constantly check your receiver box if it's wet from the fuel. I just think it's not very convenience.
I'll post some pics later today

Does anyone use GPM's servo mounts?
I broke steering servo mounts twice...
Wondering if the GPM's aluminum one is stronger....

Looking good...I see you already got a few hopups on there already.

I never have quite gotten the usefulness of aluminum body post though. What do you do, just not cut them and leave them at full length...

I see some purple collars on some shocks on (page 43) of the HPI 2003 Catalog that came with the R40. They're threaded composite shocks for the Pro, Pro2, Pro 3, etc... Their part number 72423. So that catalog would probably be a good place to start if your just looking for the collars.

The BuyHPI shop is probably another place to look...

Good luck

hi darkseid, how was your new years?

thanx for the response but the threaded shock collars is not what i'm talking about. i'm talking about the spacers used for the the mounting of the upper ballstud. i circled them in green in this picture. the stockers are black and i'd like to get the purple ones that hara used.
