and by side brace, do you mean mid-brace
HPI japan still lists a 2004 conversion kit. The only thing missing is the TI screws. You can see it here.

I believe it does come with the screws. At least mine did.

Really!! Where did you order yours from? Here is the text from the HPI web site. If the place you ordered from is including the TI screws, I'll order the kit.

I have bought 3 conversion kits and none came with the Ti screws. I think you would have to be very lucky to get them!!

But they are talking about the Conversion only, not the whole chassis tho.
The conversion bundle only consists of these stuff:
(Part#: 33413, try your luck or ask someone to find where to get it, it will probably run you around $170 which saves you over $60 in buying the parts seperately)

and its only (official) available in Asia (or east globe) areas.

I'm going to be doing a light weight 2speed and shafts, should I replace the clutch while I'm at it.....
If so what's a good replacement.

Also does anyone know where i can find the 3racing lightweight flywheel... it's out of stock on there site.....

Ive searched high and low for that thing. I think its been practically discontinued. I found an ebay seller with it , bought it and he told me 2 weeks later. Oh sorry we dont have any more of those.

I really wanted one too. But if you want you can try the mugen mtx clutch setup all together...this works with the .8 gears of the lw 2speed. It seems to be a bit more reliable. Or at least snag the grey mugen clutch disc.

You can find the whole thing for $50, the disc for $8.
