OK I think you lost me here. Do you mean when I build shocks and have the fluid in them already but no cap, if I compress the shock and hold it there and then tighten put the cap, the shock will act different then if i had the shock fully extended and put the cap on???

Yes thats it. If you put the cap on with the shaft all the way in/compressed, there will be little or no rebound after the cap is tight.

Start by filling your shocks up with oil,then bleed all of the air out(like you normally do).If you leave the piston all the way at bottom of the shock you should have full rebound.If you push the piston half way up in the body the shaft will rebound half way back out/down,etc.Building your shocks with full,half,quarter,or no rebound will make your car handle differently.You'll just have to play with it to get the fill your looking for..

I use the Sportwerks tool to remove the shoes and use a strait screw driver to install them back on.

If you run the alum shoes be sure to run 2 thin washers behind the shoes.

Shocks; I run 1/4 rebound.

Brian could you explain how shock rebound effects car handling? Do you change your rebound setting for bumpy tracks?
Ive always run zero rebound and just played with oil weights for tuning.

Luther or anyone that knows or team drivers. Is TQ racing open tommorrow? I need one part to get the car running.

On the big bore shocks the lower cap that holds the o-rings and spacers was left out of the kit. 3 of the 4 shocks had them, but one was left out.

Does anyone have one they can overnight me or if TQ will be open tommorrow I can get them to get me one. I wanted to get some first practice in this weekend with the new car. If anyone can help please let me know. I will pay for everything.
