This is not just truggy gearing because the ring and spur is different it has been designed for Us style tracks.
Are these parts available to the public yet? If so, which on-line store has parts in stock?

I have the older model car, will these gears fit straight in? Do the gears make a big difference in acceleration, comparable to the new generation of cars?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks

Sluggo- The new kits will come with Carbon shock towers, light weight diffs and drive shaft outdrives. That's the easy way to tell.

Hmm ok both my kits have the milled towers. I guess I will have to get the other stuff as upgrades lol! Need a good website listing all the parts and part #'s so we know what to order. Also some setup sheets from you guys already racing would be great if not asking to much.

Thanks man for all the info!

Default Gearing Change

Okay I will help with a gearing explanation,When the Losi car came it increased acceleration by lowering the weight.Associated soon followed by lowering the weight but also changing the gearing to Increase the acceleration on a heavier car.

Now most engineers have figure out that you don't have the lightest car to increase the acceleration you can do it with a gearing.

With that being said we have noticed that in some areas the smaller style electric tracks are changing over to nitro racing. So we feel we needed to increase our cars acceleration for those style tracks.

What parts does it take to update the old buggy to new? Can I get a listing of part numbers? Will all the pieces work together or what?

Look close to the bottom of the page and you will see the lightweight parts and shock towers.

I can see some are labeled as lightweight, just wondering if someone had all the updated parts in a list? Or just all the ones that say lightweight? And are they compatible with old car. I would like to avoid spending 400 on a new car, but I don't mind spending 100-150 to get it up to date for 2009 with lighter parts (and more spares).

Will there be a conversion kit? That would be nice.

That's all I have. The new chassis, from what I've heard, is not out yet.
I'm pretty sure these are all the correct numbers, but it wouldn't hurt to double check with TQ before anyone orders. Mine should be on the way and I will confirm the numbers when they arrive.
Here they are.

I took off the extra threads with a dremel and took a sanding drum to the servo saver just a little and now theres plenty of room. Anywhere on any car it doesn't hurt to cut off the extra threads.

I put big washers in front of my hinge pins for 2 reasons. 1) It moves the hinge pin away from the steering post and 2) If you hit a pipe hard enough with the front end it will pull the platic piece out of the front alum bracket.
