Wow.....it's been a while sinced I posted here!!!!

I have been dissappointed by the Novak GTB/Velocity system in my Tamyia EVO II. I guess it was due to the range of gears available for the car. So I am going to take my RS4 Pro 2 out of mothball and run the Novak system from that.

Now my question is this: What proper pinion/spur combination should I use? Since I raced this car before, I have a wide range of gears and pinions available.

Like Chris Rock used to say, "Can ya Hook a Brotha Up?"

Well, nevermind.

I put the Novak Velocity 3.5R into my HPI RS4 Pro 2....

I used my old (very old) racing setup from when I was racing in Washington....

I added a pack of old 3300s (Trinity) into the car....

My...... this rig is fast!!!! I ran the car for about 15 minutes and it felt like nothing has changed when I raced except the speed is a tad bit faster, more like a Modified setup.....

Just to share......

bushless motor has so much more initial torque. your shaft drive car would become a very good drifter like my tt-01. it's quite hard to get enough traction and speed with the shaft drive these days. I read a guy's post that even his TC4 could go not any faster in a straight, no matter what motor batteries he throw in it.

10.5 bushless is the most I would go for it. I like the novak motors, very strong pull even with weak batteries. great run time and fun too
