LRP Pulsar Competition HELP!!
I'm getting this charger in the mail today and need help with it. No Instruction manual with it. I did print one online but need help with setting. I'm charging 2 GP Orion packs, 1 3300 matched pack, and a 4200 pack that will be coming soon. Should I charge linear? How long do I charge the packs for?
The main question is once I have a pack hooked up to the charger, what do I do? What setting do I use from now on so I don't overcharge that batteries? How do I discharge correctly at 10amps?

Relax, the LRP charger is not hard to use. Just charge both your packs at 5 amps, linear charge. The charger has 3 profiles. You can adjust the "settings" to get your delta peak voltage (I would set it at 15 or 20 mv to start out), discharge cutoff (5.4 volts) and discharge rate at 10 amps.

Yep, it will beep.
Just a simple monotone beeep.......beeeeep......beeeep.....
Good luck, I love my three LRP Pulsars

Comp - Basically you set the current, type of charge and the delta V. Hit charge and wait for the beep. For NiMH use 5amp linear and 30 to 60 mv to start.
The comp only discharges at 10amp, period, but you can set the discharge voltage. So for a 6 cell set the voltage at 5.4V. Hit the button and wait for the beep.

Matched packs are cells that are similar in numbers to each other. Your pack is only as good as your worst cell, so matched packs are higher quality and cost more for a small performance gain on the track. For charging, just charge them the same way as unmatched packs, they are the same cells they just go through another step to weed out the high performance cells at the factory or aftermarket matcher.

I have 2 matched cell packs. The question is from what I know about the charger, the matched setting charges the pack then discharges. Is this correct or does it just charge the matched cells(which I want).
