Perhaps Randy can answer this question once and for all;

Does the reduction in voltage to a BL motor 1s instead of 2s for example, mean the BL motor is going to try and draw more current?

Or are they like the old brushed motors in that respect, i.e. when the voltage drops the current drops?

Thanks

Try adding the Roche power caps that BK has, I've geared mine to 6.99 FDR but i'm running on a 5T LRP X12. Using 2 fans blowing on the Post. and my set-up for mods motor is as below

motor Timing = 0
Timing boost = 15
Drag Brake = 0
Braking power = 80
Turbo boost = Max (bit Over kill)

RCRC is really a small track compare to the one they have, So set everything for the inner track, Keep the Turbo boost for the long straight(Don't think quite needed for mods) If you joining the This coming ECG Nationals Hey good luck bro. See you on track.
thanks!

Will try adding the power caps..

I am no good for races but just like this hobby very much.

Is turbo boost = timing boost? (Don see a selection for turbo boost..)
From the hot wire can only see selection for timing boost,

Guess will try a 6.5T for my next run and have a fan on the posts and of course gearing it light. 3.5T is a bit overkill i guess.

Cheers!

Another nooby qestion:

How to get the V200 software?

When I tried to update through hotwire, it says "no new software found for ESC"...

Cheers!

You need to ask for it from Randy Pike, the Tekin team manager. He is in Vegas at the moment though at the IIC race. He will send it to you through email, its not on the website as far as I know.

So far here at the IIC on 1s we're seeing lower motor temps. However in general if you lower voltage you do increase current draw.

However setup will change with a 1s so it's not apples and apples ya know?

Typical 1s setups in 13.5 right now are 8 degrees on the motor, 22 on timing boost and full turbo with .3 delay(yes I can do this! LOL).

Temps are in the 120ish range.

WGT has a similiar setup as 1/12 with temps in the 140 range.

Is the "Smart Boost" a necessity when running 1S ?

.3 delay? does this mean we will be able to do this?

What's the roll-out in 13.5/1s LIPO people are using there? I'd like to know how far I'm off or how close I am. I concur with the heat I haven't seen a properly geared 1/12th with LIPO get higher than 135 deg after a 8 min run.

Can the V200 run also 0.3sec Turbo delay with 1s?

NICE! A rollout as mentioned before would be great.

Thanks again for taking the time out of what must be an insane schedule this weekend.
