Most of our team doesn't run a 3.5 on asphalt. Most are running 4.5's and 5.5's on 2s lipo. Is this 5 cell?

A second cap will help along with a fan blowing on the solder posts as suggested. Can you also post a pic of your cars layout?
Hi,

Hers's a pix of my setup...

Unable to paste a link of a video of the track.. But do search for "Track at bottle tree park" at youtube for a clip of the track..

Perhaps the motor is not suitable..

Had just put a fan on the solder post, but not tried to run yet..

Due to the light lipo (project 2s) had to add some weight on the right to cure the tweak..

My setup:
84T spur / 17T pinon - FDR 8.4
Drag brake 30
Profile linear
Timing 0
Current limiter off
Mode sensored
Tires 36R/ Medium inserts

Thanks guys!

You've got the wiring posts on the esc facing inwards, which is bad for heat dissipation as they double as heat sinks. Try turning it around, or get a cooling fan on it. I do 11.5T in KL and the esc gets quite warm in our weather. As for the fdr, I think its almost there however with a short straight like that at BTP you can try gearing lower still if it helps to keep things cool.

Hi,
Running on the same track too. But with top Photon, well started to have that problem initially but now think i got it settled.
Try adding the Roche power caps that BK has, I've geared mine to 6.99 FDR but i'm running on a 5T LRP X12. Using 2 fans blowing on the Post. and my set-up for mods motor is as below

motor Timing = 0
Timing boost = 15
Drag Brake = 0
Braking power = 80
Turbo boost = Max (bit Over kill)

RCRC is really a small track compare to the one they have, So set everything for the inner track, Keep the Turbo boost for the long straight(Don't think quite needed for mods) If you joining the This coming ECG Nationals Hey good luck bro. See you on track.
