Tekin RS ESC sensored

OK no time to research this so i have to ask... I got a deal on a Diggity Designs XLR8 TC3 and I want to add a Tekin system. Theres an RS Pro with a 5.5T i can get for $260, should I pull the trigger on that? Is this well suited for the TC3 for high speed runs, no racing just a sunny day crowd pleaser. And the car is all bling so I want a new esc/motor to match
It is fast. I run the Tekin speedo with a 5,5T LRP X12 and a LRP 4,5T X11.
The 5,5T is fast enough to win my mod races.
I don't use a fan on the solder post but moost of the mod drivers with a Tekin here does to keep the speedo cool.
With the 4,5 I was faster but for the indoor tracks it was on some tracks to fast and I was the only driver that used a 4,5T. all other drivers used a 5,5 and the 6,5T.

This helps support a decent argument to require a blinking led to indicate spec mode, rather than ban programmable esc’s that have a spec mode. Easier to tech and verifies that a manufacturers assures us the setting is 0deg of timing. Esc’s that indicate nothing…. Tell us nothing.
Rather than BAN the blinky, require the blinky for spec mode

We have a 21,5 and 17,5T 0 timing class.
some drivers wanted that every body changed to the speedpassion speedo but we agreed to test it first with the blinking led.
It worked great.
every body uses the SPv3.0 motor and the ones that used the speedpassion speedo changed to Tekin.
The Speedpassion speedo is not working that well.
It brakes down very fast.
We allow only 1 motor because than we now that the speeds are about the same. This works great.
It doesn't matter if you run SP or Tekin. They all run the same speed.
I tried the both classes ad my club and I liked it a lot. it is close racing.

Tekin must give Jilles a speedo. Than they wain also the mod class.
In stock they have already some good drivers.
The Tekin is one of the fastest if not fastest speedo's there is. Still you need good drivers to win with it and Tekin has a lot of good drivers in the US.
I hope that they are going to sponsor some good EU drivers that race ad the european touring car series.
This will put Tekin out here even more in the picture.
In europe it is still a lot of LRP and GM.
Must say that LRP lost a lot of drivers with there trashcan speedo. There SXX ss is a disater speedo. I have trown my speedo in the trascan. have returnt it many times for repair because it got slower or just stoped.
I was not the only one and 95% was running LRP out here. Now it is 10% LRP 60% GM and 20% Tekin. 10% other speedo's.
I think that with some good drivers in Europe will Tekin grow to the top speedo's out here.

i haven't seen any one ask where was cuffs
Snowbirds was a great event for Tekin overall. It does make us feel good when top drivers such as Josh Cyrul, Markus Mobers, Donny Lia and others CHOOSE to run the Tekin RS becaues they feel they need it to win. This is and has always been our goal here at Tekin.
In the Mod TC Class it can be anyone's game. The top guys in that class can all win and it can often come down to who has the best luck. Mike Dumas was running a boosted 7.5 setup as was Mike Haynes that was easily as fast as any other driver on the track using a 4.0 Turn of "other" mfg.
I will be posting all of the team driver setups as well as the top non team drivers willing to share their setup(such as Cyrul).
I would like to take a second and thank all my team drivers for helping me during the weekend on the carpet. Those that know me know I don't race on carpet, at all.
Stay tuned, there's more coming from Tekin....

You can put Blackstock in that list as well for 12th scale 13.5. I was helping him with setup, gearing and motor info all week too.

Mod is not everybody's game.
Don't want to put the American drivers down but to be onest there are not manny Americans that can compete with the European drivers.
Jilles won a lot races in America as Hara and Reinard are not there.
With a 7,5T you will come to short against a 4,5T. Even on a small track.
Good to hear that they choose Tekin.
I can say that in Mod the Tekin is a verry good speedo and that the LRP drivers will be faster with a Tekin speedo.
On indoor tracks the difference is almost 0 but on our outdoor track you see only GM and Tekin in the mod class.
