Well i tried everything today to try and get normal brakes on 208. Reflashed the firmware 3 times, factory reset 3 times, new cap, new motor, nothing worked...

i've gone back to previous hotwire and reloaded 203 tonight, hopefully brakes are back! Heard that a lot of people went back to 203 after seeing the same problem on 208 at the club race on Sun.

I've been trying to use the torque limiter function on my rs pro but it just seems to add a massive throttle delay. Anyone used this feature with any success?

Setup is

Epic Dual2 17.5
Middle on the timing
45 timing
10 turbo
.3 delay
Throttle profile 5
turbo ramp 3
and have tried between 6.4 to 7.2 gear wise. Seems to always be at 185 and up temp. Any ideas? This was at a tight indoor track.
You are running too much timing on the motor. Move it down to 0 or at most, one tick positive. Turn your boost up to 50 and your turbo delay down to 0.2. Gear around 6.0-6.5. You also failed to include your RPM range, which can have a large effect on heat.

Thanks guys, yeah it's a part throttle thing so it shoudn't be turbo kicking in, as I am just barely on the throttle. I will try to widen the rpm range by lowering the start rpm by a step and see if that helps smooth it out a touch. Other than this minor issue, this is the best update yet for me.

yeah that's the one. Had something similair on an old mrt brushed esc and it was great. You just set max current and it calmed the car, uped laptimes and reduced motor wear. i find with tekin if I let off and reapply the throttle it can take ages for power to come back in. I find any slowing of throttle responce makes my bike horrible to drive.

I would have thought anyone running offroad would have a use for it

its one of the reasons i bought the rs pro

M-Technic my timing on the motor is at 0. I was scared to even touch it because it is already hot enough.

By middle I thought you meant middle-positive.

What are your RPM values?

I do not remember the FDR but the settings were something like: boost 35, turbo 10, ramp 2, RPM 7,000 to 20,000. It had WAY TOO MUCH power.
Tried it on 4.5T today, fdr 10.2, start 7000+ end 25000. The car was running down the straight very furiously with power that i can see my shell rising a bit. Scary but fun. Started on the track late due to stripped spur on the first run. Only tried 4 laps before the sun went down. Am goin to try again soon.

Guys if you're going to list a setup which is great by the way PLEASE PLEASE list the track demensions best you can. I can tell that by looking at the FDR the track is quite large but others may not be as lucky.

If you ran Senna's setup at the ROAR nats it would surely melt down the motor as the FDR is off by a full point. The straight at the nats was aproximately 130ft.
