The x12 and Nosram equivalent went well with the Tekin, and I left it on 40deg timing as well. Ran it at 6.2 around WLRC.
Usually reached around 60degC

Here's the A-Main results from the Reedy Race of Champions. The DUO based motors are very popular in the spec classes.

17.5 A-Main

13.5 A-Main

Default What Version Tekin Software for 1/12th Modified?

I will be running 1/12th modified using a 4.5 or 5.5 motor. Which Tekin software should I be using?

Thanks!

I was practicing with my T4 the other day and all of the sudden the throttle cut out. I thought I had hit the lipo cutoff. So I charged the battery and went out for the qualifier and I had no throttle. I looked at the ESC and the 1,2 and 6,7 lights were blinking meaning wrong motor type selected. I hooked it up to my laptop and everything was correct. So I reset it to the factory defaults and put all my settings back in to make sure everything was right. It did the same thing, so I tried a different sensor cable same result, then I tried a different motor and another sensor cable, same result again. Has anyone else had this problem? I have a Tekin RS.

doesn't matter what one just keep 203 in dual mode 40-50 timing advance that will give you 12-15* of timing to start with, just check temps often

Thanks for the reply. Your track is similar to my regular track. Curious, what's your motor temping at? You have a low start rpm. I was under the impression that a low start rpm might cause high temps.

Thanks again, Rob.....

to much timing to fast causes heat,to low rpm is wasting the timing being applied

Thanks. I thought that was the case.

I seem to recall reading a few posts back that "no turbo" works well on a track with a short straight. Is that correct? I want to reprog for a new track I'll be going to with a short straight and tight infield.

Rob...........

less than 100ft is a waste, you can get more out of it with motor/timing boost gearing and rpm range

Tell that to ALL the guys in 13.5 Rubber at the Snowbirds where Schreff laid it down on a less than 100ft track using lots of turbo!!! Yes, even in 13.5 on a small track you can use turbo to your advantage as long as care is given to gearing, RPM and delay settings.

And believe me, his wasn't the only turbo equipped RS setup out there.

Default tekin virgin

Guys hoping someone can help me - jsut received my first tekin and have no clue about them.

1. Has anyone got an asphalt setup - mid to high traction - mid to large track - Tftr melbourne for anyone listening - I am running 21.5 and 17.5 - Sp v3

2. What is the latest software availiable for stock

3. When I plug in the equipment to my laptop it keeps telling me "Unhandled exception" - anyone with any clues as to what this is and how to fix it.

4. What is an ideal FDR for 21.5/17.5?

PM might be best to contact me if possible.
