Default Name your engine and pipe...

Just wanted to know what pipes is everyone running with their engines and why??? Im currently running a Novarossi Plus 12 SCT with a Novarossi 2630 and usually medium header or long header.

Has anyone tried using the IDM 2607 or a Sirio 2611 pipe in their Novarossi engines? Or anyone tried using a Novarossi 2630 or 2602 pipe in their Picco based engine??? Has anyone ever experimented with these pipes? or just sticked to what the majority were running with your based engines???

I am running 2602 on both, NR 12-3ST and IDM Evo3, works good on both.

I've got a murnan plus 12 and the max 2602 pipe. Almost done breaking it in but it hasn't seen the track yet. I run on a medium sized track which is why I went with that pipe. I'll probably get a nova 2630 for the bigger tracks. I'll let you know how the max pipe does. I've heard only good things about it so i'm looking forward to it.

IDM Evo 3 with the IDM 2607. I have a 2617 pipe and manifold on the way. Also have some 2601 pipes on the way as they seem to work on everything.

I'm running my Red Dot evo2 with the 2630 and have been advised ( by a very well known engine guru) that the 2617 works very similar to the 2630.
With the 2630, the jlr runs very well with plenty of grunt on tap!
I am running the 2630 mainly because i already had 2 that i ran on my sirios.
Looking to get the 2607 and 2617 to try out though.

if you guys would look at the dyno results the 2607 is the only pipe to run on the JLR .12...Nova based pipes kill this motors power output...

I was running a Murnan Red Dot EVO2 with the Sirio 2611 and it runs good but beware if using on a short track. For my track the top end comes in too late. On a long straight the 2611 pulls hard.

Mr. Murnan was kind enough to lend me an IDM 2617 and it rips from mid to top. Bottom is still good but i think the Sirio bottom is better. Top end comes on a lot sooner with the 2617 and it keeps pulling.

2630 on my Red dot choked the top end but again the bottom and mid was killer.

Haven't tried a Picco 2607 yet and I haven't tried my MF 2602 yet.

Thanks for all the input guys... I havent heard of anyone using 2617 pipe... What would be the differences between the 2617 pipe and the 2607 pipe? Also... Has anyone found the differences in top, middle, bottom on the JP 2620 and the 2602 pipe? The diameter at the ring changes so I guess something must change. Seems that everyone or most have stopped using the all famous Skyline VR12 plus pipe in their engines.

One of my goals with trying different pipes with my IDM to tame some of the low end grunt this engine has.

Like they said 2617 has monster mid top end, mileage was worst in my case.. you loose bottom end but with good clutch set up will be good
