Just thought I would let everyone know, just in case you don't already.
If your shipping your stuff out to the race, when you go to business services to get your boxes be prepared to pay a service charge. The hotel told me they are going charge you $5.00 per 15 lbs per box to get them. I'll keep my comments to myself but I wanted everyone who didn't know not to be caught off guard. They also said they wouldn't charge it to your rooom.
You have to pay right then and there.

See everyone there, it's going to be a blast.

That is why I am shipping my stuff to a friend down there and he is shipping it back for me after the race. Business center has a racket going on there with that deal. Handling charge for me would have been more then what I paid to ship it there in the first place.

That would all depend on what main you will be in. If you are a lower main you could be out of there by 1-2. I hope you are talking locally since if you are going cross country you may not make it.

Yeah, it's a few miles from the race. An easy one too since there is a full backline. I have the fortune/misfortune of living here.
And if you've seen me race I'll probably be in the amateur z man.

If drivers bring their LiPos to tech over max voltage and/or over max temp, will they be allowed to re-tech them or will the driver be automatically excluded from that race?

Default iic race entry

hey Boomer: Can you or enyone else tell me with the economy not doing so well are you seeing a drop off in attendance for this years iic race? Also because of this are some drivers not attending all the big on-road races such as iic carpet nats paved nats novak race snowbirds and cleveland indoor like they may have in the past? I've also heard that some companies are picking and choosing which races to send their sponsored/factory drivers to rather that just send them to all the big races. I post this because i've heard that some companies sent their drivers to the paved nats, but not iic and some iic,but not paved nats. Is this just a recent trend or has this always been the way it is? Thanks for the info and good luck running and racing at the '08 iic race

Rick-

I think it was posted earlier in this thread that you could lower the voltage before the race assuming that you get that done before the race starts. Assuming you get it lowered and run back through tech before the race starts you should be OK.

I don't think they will be holding up the race for people to get their batteries lower on voltage or temp.

Attendance for this race is deffinitely down from last year and I believe it to be because of the economy. At least it is not as bad as the paved nat race. That seemed somewhat pathetic.
