Default help dont know wat it is

Hello every one.
I am new to this site and my name is Nathan
i just bought this car off my mate and am fixing it up.
it is rer wheel drive and looks like a pritygood chasie
and also i dont no what the motor is it has TOM writen on the end of it very small
any help good

Not sure of the brand, but it does look old.

I see two servo moutings, which means one for steering and one to move the "swiper" style speed controll. Now all speed controlls are electric not swipers.

Also, that chassis may be a dirt oval chassis. It is hard to tell by the top without looking at the ground clearence.

I am not sure what it is but in all honesty you might have to throw it out, or fabricate parts, cause I can see you missing the bell crank and a few other pieces.

It's hard to tell, but I think it might be a Kyosho Mantis... that has been modified to have oil shocks. (They came with an angled spring in the arm mount assembly)
If you bought it from your friend, can't they tell you what it is?
