Hacker Brushless E40 BL Motors = Losi Xcelorin Sensored BL Motors
I recently acquired a Losi 13.5 Sensored Xcelorin BL Motor and a Hacker Brushless E40 17.5, took both apart, and other than the color of the anondizing and the removable harness on the Losi motor, they are 100% identical. These are made by the same manufacturer. The rotors are 100% identical, the end bell/bearing setup is identical, motor sleeve diameter/width is identical, etc...
I'm not complaining here, just making everyone aware that if you want a Hacker Brushless E40 motor and can't find one, pick up a Losi Xcelorin Sensored BL motor, same thing.

I did notice that Kelly. I was looking at the Losi, and I knew for sure that the center ring would fit on the Hacker. Whats the price diff between them?

Seems weird though that hacker would make them 2 ways -- with attached and unattached sensor wires. Esp with all the pushback Kyle gave on why they went with the attached wire. I hope they are the same b/c I like the detachable wire and blue color but I cant say Im convinced they are 100% the same.

I believe Kelly. If he says they're the same, then they're the same.
Hey Kelly, post some pics of them both while you got them tore down to show everyone. Please.

Its not a hard stretch, look at all the different variations of the Feigao motors out there, you can get them in different colours, hole configuartions, solder tab styles etc.

All of the E40 motors are available. If your local hobbyshop does not have them in stock then they did not order them. All backorder have been filled except 13.5T motors. The rest of the 13.5 motors will be in by the end of this week. A few dealers may just now be getting them in.
If you can not find one please give the office a call at (480) 726-7519

I agree with or8ital that it sounds weird that Hacker would make a Losi motor with a removable harness and not their own, but in reality there are only 4 manufacturers of brushless motors, right? I know Losi is a huge company, but even if Losi did develop their own speedo and brushless program, I think its unlikely that they would then produce them. Maybe they outsourced that part to Hacker? If thats not the case, the only other assumption you could make is Losi's now the fifth brushless motor maker.
Remember, Hacker built theirs with that airplane philosophy that an attached harness saves your gear. Maybe Losi told them that attached harnesses dont "fly" in the car market?
