I like a balance between both..
I`m going to try out the LT & ST tommorow....because my Local track has a really good lay out that you need both torque and Rpm...so...hmmm it`s a tough call... I would have to say torque for a small tight layout track and Rpm for a more opentrack...
here have a look at my local track layout...

the track i drive in is a nitro track...unless it's past 6pm...and im gone by 5pm...so i guess rev is my way to go for me

Xenon`s new 23T motors
Hey guys ...here is the latest and greatest from Xenon Racing..
they have 2 new Stocks the Momo(peach in Japanese )and the Kin (gold in Japanese )....
they have Ti coated arm shafts and new magnets and 6 pole rotors like the state side 27T stocks(epic top ect ect....)

hey great there are people playing 23T after all!
anyway, JDM i see that your a guru when it comes to 23T, look at that collection! nice.
i was wondering which 23T motor has the most punch? any idea?
i am currently running the Yokomo team zero tmaxx RSL motor.. and im thinking of getting another 23T motor for backup sake (just ONE! not as many as you tho!) and probably a more powerful one.
any recommendations by you JDM? i'd rather take suggestions/advice from a fellow member than the company that sells it

I race in the Tamiya series.
I've seen that most companies sell both stand-up and lay-down style brushes. Do you often use the stand up-style? Do you cut your brushes? Are some of you trying one stand-up and one lay-down brush?

the LT and LS have the Laydown brushes and they come in the graphite colored can with the Blue lable.....
Also these new Yokomo 23T`s have to be geared very differently that the past 23T Yokomo motors....
Hense the Very Bunrt up motors in those pic`s
they probibaly gear the SR in the 5.1~5.3 Range .... when this motor should not be geared at anything under 5.7!!!

cutting the brushes...?? nope...standard Putnam Blue and Green with red and green springs on the motor..
also ATLAS is doing that now with the one Stand up brush and one Laydown brush on there Splash R Gold.... it has a good ammount of RPM and torque...run time is OK.... but I haven`t done more that 2 packs on this motor yet.....

I think Yokomo have had some QC problems of late!!

Average price for a bronze bushing 23 turn is abt 40 dollars Sing.
The rebuiltable ones cost more... I think my Tamiya Type RR cost me abt 70... can't be certain, got it 6 mth back as a package with my TL01
Will recommend you to hold out and wait for the new Yokomo 23 stockers to arrive. Either that, or head on down to Rotor Hobbies and check out the Kawada stockers. You might wnat to check out the ball-bearing equiped "modified" 23 turn motor there. Price should be ard 60-70 bucks.

how do you know if ur brushes need replacing?
