Replacement clutch for NTC3
If anyone could help would be appreciated. I am lookin for a replacement clutch for the NTC3 to replace the stock clutch. I have been lookin all over. Haven't found anything yet. After talkin to the guys at my local track. It seems the biggest weakness on stock NTC3 is the clutch. Also any other tips for setting it up for racein will help. Already got the list of parts I need to convert it to NPstart. And foam wheels. Just have to research about wheels.
Thx in advance for the help.

Just keep a close eye on your Diffs that's the weakest point of the drive train

I knew several racers who successfully ran stock 3-shoe clutch setups with the stiffer copper springs. Are you sure you have it set up correctly? What seems to be the problem?
Centax-style clutches are nice but need careful setting-up and more maintenance for consistent performance as the clutch shoe wears. And also due to the engine orientation in the NTC3 (flywheel facing the rear of the car), centax adjustment can be a right pain because the rear chassis brace sits smack in the way.

Soulbear,
I ran the same clutch shoes in my NTC3 for 2 years. The only thing you might need to do is either use the stiffer springs or drill a small hole in each shoe to make the clutch think that you have stiffer springs on it. There is a big assortment of gears available for that clutch. Not as many for the spur but if you run the FT spurs 54/48 then you keep the 6 tooth spread you can change the clutchbell gears to get whatever ratio you want. We have about a 200' straight and it is competitive with the other cars, depends on the driver.

i agree with everybody i would stick to either upgrading to the gold springs on the stock clutch or converting to a 3 shoe clutch. i am running a modded novamega on the stock clutch with the upgraded springs and have not had a problem yet
