Default Front Belt.

Hi there,

I have my PRO3 for 2 years now and still run the same frontbelt.
I noticed that the belt does not loosen up it is still tight!!!
At firtst i tought is wat a chassis problem (it seems to be a little hollow on the underside), but after replacing the stock chassis today there is still a lot of tension on the frontbelt (new chassis is a little hollow also).

I run in stock class and i realy would like would like the belt to loosen up becouse i need that extra power to the wheels
So does someone else here hase this problem or knows what a solution is to the problem.
There is a guy at the track that races mod and his belt is lose.

The only hopups sofar alu motor mount, alu middle shaft holder , Rear low friction belt and the Graphite molded shocktowers.

Thanks in advance,

-Whacky.

to loosen up the belt soak them in WD40 overnight. and try using low friction belts also for the front.

Thanks rc-zombies,

Doesn't wd40 damage the belt as it will soak into the kevlar?
And after that do i wash it of with water or just dry it with a towl?

Thanks,

Whacky.

Should not harm the belts...everybody does this trick.
Just towel dry and you're set to go...

Default Belt probs

Guys;

I have the Low Friction belts and still have the same problem with the Front being a little too tight, even with the tensioner off. Might be a slight gain in speed with the Front Belt looser. Rear Belt is just about perfect.

Whacky;

Whats' up buddy.

Our Cars sound real similar. I've got the same hop-ups you have +, the HPI Graphite Upper Deck and the Graphite Arms and F/R Hubs. Still using the stock Plastic Tub Chassis. Stiffening the car up really helped get rid of the pushing in the corners.
With some help from Zombies and JDM_DOHC_SiR, I've got the Car Dialed now. Really happy with it, and don't plan on any changes for this weekend except for Tires.

yea..it's pricey...

$50.00 is not too bad, that's how much I paid for mine....Ordering from Rainbowten $41.00 + $8-10 to ship.

but at least HPI made an effort to get some in the US to sell and
show they still support the PRo3.
