Your asking for trouble trying to use just that. The BMI car uses a band system over the entire pack and it is still not enough to keep the pack secure.

Well like I said it's just a trail, CRC cars seem to work fine with it. But if all else fails, its back to the tape

I'm pretty sure that's not going to work. The battery is going to slide from side to side. Let us know though as I'm sure most people hate tape. Too bad there isn't a little lipo tray for this car.

I'll prolly be installing a GTB...with smc 4k 1s, Futaba S9602, reciever unknow at this time... will be running 17.5 8min heat/mains... I got an spx also but neither truely supporting 1s. I looked at the SXX Stock-Spec but can't spend that kinda money! I usaully run TC and TA..bored of TA and we got a handful of 12th guys I'd like to join as my second class.

found some info on escs & 1s pro vs. cons...was not specific to 12r5 just 1s in general..

Nothing or smart boot or reciever pack? I don't really see any room for a reciever pack and not sure if the Nothing option would last..heard of glitchin when volts drop.

Wonder what is typical w/ GTB 1s in the 12r5

Thanks for any input.
