Sheperd Velox
#242
Lately I've been noticing a big problem with the pulley under the manifold. the shaft spins inside and causes the pulley to become egg shaped. I have replaced the pulley several times already, and the same thing happens after a day of running. I've even tried putting the pully on with CA glue, but that doesn't help either. Anyone have any suggestions...
I'm thinking about putting a mugen adapter and pulley. I checked the mugen manual, and it looks the same. Does anyone know if the 2 speed shaft diameter is the same as shepherd's?? if it is, it should work.
Thanks

I have a mugan mrx4x car it is a very good car and it has its problems too! namely it blow front belts all the time. and after speaking with the mugan distributer in usa it would be prudent to mchange the gears after evry 3 races. this is to help with the front belt problem. htis isnt to put the car down but if you run a mugan they all know that belt must be replace often. specifically the front one. and yes i put a serpent aluminum pully on my mugan. yes i did purchase a shepard i replaced the 4 center pulley yes i replaced the 18 and the 26 with mugan adaptors and there pulleys. the 21 i got from kyosho rrr. and the 16 alluminum from one of the after market companies. ran it for the first time in a club race today with r12 body did quite well finished the a main in third. i want to give special thanks to chris verono all his help with the car. to get it up to speed

Swaybars were in and on the way to the dealers now. The rear conversion kits are on the next order they were back ordered and the transponder mounts are also on the next order I believe along with the new gray clutch shoe.

No problem Nelson..You look comfortable with the car already.
I tried the new rear swaybar this past weekend and it worked pretty well. The car responds well to minor changes in the angles of the blades.
