Default Best 1/10 car to start out with.

A friend of mine wan't to get into the Rc car scene, but doesn't know much about the hobby. I'm looking for a poll as to which one you think is best.

Traxxas 4-Tec RTR
TA Nitro TC3 RTR
HPI Nitro rs43 SS
HPI Nitro RTR3

I told him to get the TC3, but he won't listen to me. He wants the 60mph+ car out the box.

Default TC3

I would buy the nitro TC3.

Unless you are playing in a very large parking lot, you will never see the 60+ mph.

A faster accelerating car is more fun than one with a higher top speed.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. He's really stubborn now. I keep telling him to get the TC3. Traxxas marketing has sold him solid.

MY FRIEND told me that HPI is good. Buy HPI.

All of the cars that you have mentioned are good cars to start out on. If it were me, I would get the car with the best part support in your area. If that isn't an issue, I would get the NTC3. They are a better handling car, have more potentail on that racetrack, and much more adjustable. Good luck.

i would go with the ntc3... cuz its fast out of the box and you can make it ready to race wit the big guys with just a few options... but they arent that cheap..lol... or go with the hpi... although i wouldnt.. it was my first car.... i got the regular one... not enough speed but soo easy to maintain, rebuild, etc... but i would NEVER go with traxxas... plus... i dont think that car would be allowed into any races.... cuz of the big block
