How Do I shorten the sensor harness on the brushless motor? How do i shorten the servo wires?

Look how clean that is, I pulled the plug out of my servo plug clip thingy (part that plugs into receiver) and the wire is clamped in there good. Even if you were to break it open you would nee dsome sort of machine to clamp it shut again with the newly shortened wire.

Shortening the wires on the servo is easy. Just pick up some servo connectors & pins - http://servocity.com/html/servo_connectors___pins.html - cut the end off and reinstall the plug and your good to go.

You can also get pins for the sensor wire, but it is a little more difficult to work with the the servo wire. You might need to check with Novak or LRP to see if the have a part # for replacement pins / harness ends.

nice thanks! but what about shortening the sensor harness for the brushless motor?

Speed Passion do a 100mm one,thats normally short enough for most chassis.

I should have said Im using an ovak brushless motor where the sensor harness cannot be removed from the motor unfortunately. How do i go about shortening it?

Fold it up on itself and use a wire tie. Then if you want cover it with some spiral wrap.

For the sensor wire on my 13.5, I folded the wires over a few times and then wrapped them in shrink wrap. Looks clean and protects the wires at the same time.

i actually just cut the sensor wires and soldered them then heat srinked the whoel thing, looks clean! took about 1.5 hours though
