i have a vibration and a funny noise coming from my front driveshafts, when the wheels are straight its good and if you turn them they vibrate and make noise. this only happens when im at more than half throttle either on the track or on the bench. spinning by hand there perfect. anyone ever experience this?

Eddie If you re running a spool it's normal to vibrations. You should also check to make sure all your bearing and dog bones are good.

You will probably find the wheels are hitting the ends of the arms on lock, add 1-1.5mm of spacers at the hex, and you will find it disapears somewhat.
Also check the driveshaft rotates cleanly in the spool outdrive, one side of mine binded, i had to touch it up with the dremel, and i ended up swapping it left to right, and it fixed it.

People laugh at me and say I'm waisting my time but .... I balence my tires. You would be amazed at the vibration it reduces. I b:bet if you take the wheels off and spin it up again the problem is solved. Eagle racing makes a nice static balencer . Go to a golf supply store and get some lead tape and take your time trying to make the wheel stop at a different spot every time . Its a bit time consuming but the results are worth it. Ok now the secrets out.

Take your wheels off and check it again. Mine doesnt do what you either of you are saying. Some preglued tires are way out of balence.

I agree, something is way out of balance. Check the shafts for straightness too. I know mine is only a JS, but I run a one way and do not have this symptom. (Its starting to look like Blee's E4$$$)

Oh yea thats a tight carbon fibre bumber, and what are you using for the steering linkage? is that a all aluminum shim, with a screw that goes through it?

cars look good guys, i will post mine later when i ever get off work.

Yes it is the Reedy 5000 I had to shim the upper deck up 2mm and shave the battery stop down that is on main shaft housing and square off the front corners of the stock battery tray, The steering linkage is Xray ball ends and I used a Tamiya standoff that is cut in half to take away bump steer.
