MAMBA MAX ESC

slower motor is best, 4700kV does the trick. but if u are in the game to beat nitros and u know how to drive good enough, 7700kV is for you

There's nothing wrong with cutting back the end point on the throttle. It does not affect the sc or motor in any negative way and it's no different than using 1/2 throttle or 2/3 throttle. It's cheaper than buying motors.

I just ran a sidewinder with a 5700KV motor. I had never run brushless before in the 20 years I have raced. I must say the sidewinder system with this motor was flat out awesome. The ESC has the smoothest throttle curve to make the power very controllable. I even spun backwards a couple time, I pulled the trigger and it accelerated, no cogging, no hesitation.

The MM is the common ESC used in 1/8th scale electric conversions, until something better comes out. If it can handle a 1200 Watt motor and a 4S lipo, it can handle anything in the 1/10th scale realm. With the recent updates released by Castle, there are really no cogging problems anymore. If you haven't yet, go download the latest Castle Link program and update your MM's software version.

Hi, I have 4 Mamba Max ESC and have used them with Castles 5700 and 7700 motors in my 1/10 Lazer buggy, stadium truck, Jammin CRT.5 conversion, I have used them with a Feigao 8XL on my 1/8 buggy, with a Feigao 9XL on my E-Revo. I use 6 and 7 cell NiMH and 2s, 3s and 4s lipo's batteries. I have had zero issues with the Mamba Max ESC, they have handled all my motor and bettery combo's with no problems. Programming function is fantastic. Customer service is awsome.

I fell in love with mamba max controller again after I flashed it with the new 1.17 update. Damn thing is so smooth and cogging is completely gone on my T4 w/ 5700.
Plus, the rumor is that Castle Creations is releasing the Mamba Monster Max for MT and 1/8 in February.

It is smoother than ever before. Castle has really been working hard to make sensorless as good as anything on the market.

I love my Mamba Speedo. I run a Trinity N80 motor on mine. I have had some cogging issues relating to sitting still and initial take off a few times but for the most part, hands down one of the best on the market!

That's odd. Jeremy is right... they use standard 3mm screws like Novak and most any 1/10 motor... brushed, brushless, etc...
