Since I have heard many different things about this race I thought I would go to the source for an answer....

How long are the main events going to be for this race? Inquiring minds want to know......

five minutes except for the spec class... just like usual.

I'm not understanding the confusion. We added an interesting twist called SRS class.... the BL/Lipo class that will have a 15 minute main. IF somebody wants to run a BL and NiMH battery in this, thats fine.. no rules against it. Just an something different and fun... to take advantage of the longer run times BL's can offer and the higher mah batteries and Lipo.

Well there are rumors the mains will be 10 min and 15 min. Just curious what it will be. I think 15 will be a stretch for everything. Hard case lipo's are hard to find above 5000 mah.

It will be an interesting test of equipement.

Just curious. Are the X motors legal in stock then? Just curious how far the "SRS Rules" allow you to deviate from the approval list?

The rain out was two years ago. Last year it was 100+ deg weather in March! We were all dying of heat stroke! LOL

Anyone know what happened to the Cactus thread in the "Race Forum". Isn't that where this belongs anyway?

at S&N's trackside we run a brushless 10.5 class and we run anywhere from 12-15 min mains every thursday and we make run time and i dont believe anyone is running lipo.

FYI, Chad Due just ran 23+ minutes in Mod Truck on a HUGE track w/ a 5000... don't think 15 should be an issue for a 4800....

I just ran 23 minutes and I still had more with a 10.5 Orion and a 4800 Orion Platinum Lipo On dry track with my Lazer SP at SRS.

I also won the 4wd class.

I will also test with a 6 cell + 10.5, 6cell + brushed 19t, and 19t + Lipo in the next few days. Stay tuned...

How are the laps times with a real 19t roar approved motor versus some sort of 10.5 BL motor? I am curious if they are even at all?
