my buddy is a team driver for HB....and he just got one, so i figure between the two of us...we'd be able to have enough spares, cause i really could care less to have to order stuff



i looked at assoctiated....and i just don't ever want a belt driven car, seems like too much work to me....i wanna stick to shaft driven

the AE TC3 is shaft driven and one of the best cars for this class..if not the best..and I have alot of proof..lol

they are not strong at all..I have 2 of them , one is new and they are just a head-ache for me and my kids..but Ill take $40 for both and parts...lol.. I got them tc3's like me and its been great ever since....

I had problems with the drive train...

try ebay or check with some locals whom are running newer cars..cya and good luck..

I have enjoyed running my 08 Xray belt drive in this class however I run the belts a little on the loose side to make sure there is no speed loss from belt tension friction. I would still go with either a TC3 or TC4 for the simplicity and ease.

HPI Pro4 is another good shaft drive car. I love mine, but good luck tracking one down for a good price. I think RCGT has been driving up the price on used ones.

Hi everyone,

A couple of questions about HPI Vintage TA bodies:

Do you have a preference based solely on whether a body is a one piece body (68 Camaro) or a two piece body (Mustang and Cuda)?

What would you like to see in future bodies?
a. Same level of performance and detail/realism as the current bodies
b. More realistic details even at the cost of performance
c. More performance at the cost of realistic details

Would Lexan light buckets be a welcome addition to the bodies?

The E10 is not a good choice for durability, but if you choose it you must get a bearing set. A friend of mine has an E10 and he put a stock motor in it and the plastic bushings that rotate with the shaft melted. The bushings rotate instead of the shaft rotating inside the bushings. When you put in bearings that changes. He also had trouble with dog bones popping out. If you like shaft drive the Tamiya TB03 is a good choice also. I like my Cyclone S although it's not a shaft drive. The Tamiya TT01E is a good car. It's shaft drive and there are lot of inexpensive hop ups out there.

The E10 is meant strictly as a first time intro chassis/platform. For any type of competition or more spirited driving hpi/hb offers the Sprint2 and Cyclone platforms.
