Yeah sometimes you just have to put it out there to try something. I had to buy EVERYTHING to get goign in this class. I was only off road at the time. And wasnt sure if id even like on road but gave it a shot and love the VTA class. And honestly the stuff you need to get is cheap already new. Youll spend more time and headache tryign to find used stuff right now then if you just went and spent the $40 + a body. Be lucky your not trying Truggy or somethign like that. $100 to build a set of wheels and tires generally for that class.

Can you guys refresh my memory a little on FDR.

For example Higher FDR is more top speed less but less acceleration etc..

Also, when I see an FDR limit of 4.2-4.3 for 21.5/lipo combo, is that the highest or lowest I can go?

I'm not sure of your financial situation but you just posted that a 35 dollar loss is problematic for your RC budget. If you have been racing for a while and will continue to do so for a while isn't 35 bucks just a drop in the bucket?

I bought lunch and drinks at the track for 5 people yesterday and it cost 37 bucks.

WIth times how they are $35 is a lot of money for toy cars. Please ask why are you in r/c then, I say I just can't leave it.

Well then hopefully you find others to race the class because TA class is very easy on the pocketbook once you have the equipment. I've spent the least amount of money on my vehicle being in the TA class than any other racing I've done so far. Stuff lasts a long time and there's not much if any breakage.

ok...

this is probably a really stupid question...but is it my imagination or did I see someone do up a 'Cuda in the old AMX Javelin colors??

I've just searched thru the last 30 pages and can't find it - but I remember seeing it somewhere And also went thru the "paint" thread as well...

Any ideas??

I don't remember having seen a Cuda painted using the Javelin themes but some have been close just different colors.

TwoTone painted his 'Cuda like the new Challenger Super Stock show car... looks pretty cool. I don't recall seeing a factory AMX scheme, though.

Now that's just bugging me I swear I saw a pic of one somewhere

It was definitely a AMX job - blue nose (with white stripes), white middle w/#6, and the red rear...

maybe it was in some other thread, hmmmmmm
