Yes. It will add an incredible amount of drag.

I hope this thread can be used for questions and answers...and I got one...

its 90+ degrees outside...140 on the pavement...do you cut some holes in the windsheild to get the air.....or gear down to keep from overheating?

this has already been answered, but I would like to see what everyone thinks

thanks...
It can get pretty toasty out here as well. I added an Integy heat sink/fan combo to my 27T touring car that had experienced some thermal issues and have had no further problems. It was like $15. On a particularly hot day I went down a tooth on the pinion as well.

Define "incredible". So many parts of my TA body have fallen off or have been gouged out and my lap times aren't any slower because of it.

These cars aren't going 30MPH+.

A valid point. Making a brick a bit "brickier" may not hurt too much. Try it and see then I guess. Depending on what car you're running it may be effective. You'll be introducing some turbulent airflow at the front of the car -- it's just my feeling that there are better ways to improve airflow to the motor/esc.

I just reviewed the rules again at USVTA. It seems like you could cut holes like nitro bodies, into your windows.

I wonder if that would help and not hinder handling or speed?

...and, thus, a great class heads down the crapper...

Without attribution I'm hard pressed to understand your point. Can you be more specific?

Let's not be hasty and confuse the open discussion of random ideas with intentional diluting of the class' image for the sake of performance or convenience.

I was on board with the neon paint thing, but are we to keep our mouths shut save for discussions of which version of the Autolite logo is period-correct?

without racers there is no class. push enough people away because of their opinions and who will you race against? I understand you made this class with a certain thing in mind but everythign cant be so absolute there is no room for varience. oddest thing is the biggest argument is about paint scheme and numbers.....nothing to do with performace.

There is a point in the realm of slow in which it would seem that you can't go any slower short of stopping.

variance, leinency, and wiggle room are all route to the thing that brings down any class. as we if all have been bs'd into believin that if we're not winning or we dont have the right equipment to run in a class, that special dispencation must be given to us for our own satisfaction.

I like having time for my slow old brain to react before my car hits the wall.

need some help. Batteries and charger won't be here before next weekend and don't feel like missing another race.

I have the Noval 21.5 brushless with a speedpassion ESC, is there and way to run my old 2000 Nicad that would be fair, just so I could race ei break the down to 4 or 5 cell packs?

Remember, just a one time thing to race this weekend
