Howzit!, I would like to know where tthere is racing in the cape area. I have plans of going over sometime in november if all goes well. We (the family) usually make a trip down to Cape Town via the Garden Route and would be nice if i can get to race in P.E., J-Bay, Knysna, Plett, etc. if there are tracks there. I used to live in East London (1982-1994) but we did not have an RC track then. Also if you can list down names of hobby shops and racetracks, would appreciate it tons...thanks in advance.

glide1: im not from south africa .... hehehehe ... obviously! i dunno if you're going anywhere near the same part of sth africa where last year's worlds was held. if you are, i suggest you make the trip to that track. should be great to run there. beautiful track! sorry to mess up this thread hehehe ... hope to have you guys over soon. it'll be our turn to play host.

Last years World's was held in Krugersdorp? or Klerksdorp? (not sure of the town) in the Transvaal Province, just outside Johannesburg. It's about 1000km away from where we used to live. I've seen footage of the the race, and yes the track looked very nice.

I'm hoping to see SA racers on this thread but no luck just yet...

P.S. can someone clarify what town the worlds was held last year pls, thanks
