Yea that is the truth, I am ready for summer already. I usually hate summer to a point but right now I will take it.

Paul 2 small questions 1st off a rough gearing for the 4.0 LRP in the 008 and second on your Snowbirds mod setup how would it feel if you ran 4 degree vs 6 degree hubs up front? Thanks in advance had my car for a month now but have worked everyday straight so trying to sort it all out asap just got her built now if I can find some wheel time before Omaha...

Thanks,
Robert Jr.

Gitsum: I can tell you how i gear my Trinity 4.0, i assume that it will be within a tooth or so with your Lrp.
6cell,57mm tire, 4.0 turn motor: 118/23. this is with the us spec car with the 1.7 internal ratio.
If i were to run 4deg caster blocks on that set-up my car would have been more reactive going into the corner but would have lacked steering in the center out. basicly more caster = more steering, but more caster DEFINATELY comes with more tire hike( inside rear wheel lifting) which hurts you to beable to accelorate sooner coming out of the corner because you will just be diffing. I used to just throw more caster at the car untill i was fast and it used to work, but recently with the amazing power availible and the high corner speeds of cars i have been unable to do that. so you will have to find the right ballance for your car/track. Thanks

HEY BOB.

KB: yea i have done that alot, it is a different way of changing your roll center. it can be a good thing. lowering or raising your roll center from the outside will provide a different effect as apposed to doing it from the inside. but it is something that you have to test with alot to know when to do it. But it is not one of those things that will just plain make you faster or anything like that.

Default 29.3mm ?

Paul,

When running Jaco Foams on Prizm Wheels, what width do you true them to? Or do you true the width down at all?

Oh yeah, Lights Out?

Mrcguy: LOL, i normally run them all at full width, sometimes i will narrow the fronts a bit(27.5) to make the car easier to drive but not if i dont have too.

So do they pass tech without trimming the width?

Paulie, Jay here... I was speaking with Mikey and he has had good results with 21.5mm fronts and 22mm rears. What are your thoughts Bro?

Mrcguy: Well technically no, but it is never checked at races, out of the box your average jaco is about 28.5mms wide, i dont know for sure about other brands but i beleive that they all are like that.

Jstikes: Hi Jay, We all used to Love the 26mm wraps, to me 21 or 22 sounds too narrow. I would maybe think about 25 or 26 but for me to go 22 i will have to have someone Kick my butt with them like that first. But it is very possible their could be something their with that. p

Thanks, paul

In the 'Hot off the Press' issue of Xtreme RC Car, the SnowBirds Trophy girl is holding your 3PK. Is this a move to free up your hand for other things ?
