Default W.E.D. Winning Edge Designs questions and comments...

Hello, I figure it is about time to start my own thread, since I see alot in here! Don't want to feel left out, LOL!

I'll come in here a few times a week to answer questions or post pics, or both!

Many of the pics i've posted over the years have been removed by photobucket, recently. Photobucket wants me to pay monthly. So i'll soon reopen the website and for now i'll use Imgur to replace some that I still have.

Thanks!

...Jim

This is an air inlet I painted for a friend. It is my first attempt at "Normal" painting, ! I happy with it, but like always already see some things I can improve.

My first responses, cool, thanks guys!

20 smoke, I have not done one "Normal" paint yet....but there will be a first time! Maybe for you? lmk what you want to do with it, level of detail, etc.

I did this one last year and it was recently in reader rides in Car Action, .

What type of paint are you using? The colors really seem to pop. Very nice work.

Tony, errr, I mean smoke, will do.

wyd, I use Pactra mostly, Aclad for chrome when required. I have been experimenting with Auto Air recently, but not on customers stuff yet, until I figure out how durable it is, how long it will hold up, etc.

I like the fact that I don't get to hear, "Hey man, the paint fell off this thing first race out!" So Pactra has been good so far, even though it is 5 times as expensive as others, since it is $4 for 2/3 ounce jars!!!

The Auto Air if $6 or so for 4 ounces for example, 5 times as much material!

Thanks Jim. Yeah it isn't cool when the paint falls off. Good luck on the paint search.
