Default foam tire durometer

Is foam tire durometer any different from the durometer used to measure real car tire?

I was looking into that a long time ago before getting my durometer and I found that the sensitivity for the use of rubber and the use of FOAM which is our intended purpose are actually different. It has something to do with density of mass. I thought it would suit my purpose but it would have only been a costly lesson so I picked up the right one and to be honest I dont even use it all that much after buying it. You could get away with not owning one at all and be just fine, mark and match the tires before and after use.

Max Mods if you can find one. I've seen a few up for Sale in the For Sale thread from time to time.

Superior Hobbies is out:

Kamikaze Toys and Hobbies might have it in stock, but contact them first:

Fast Lap TDM-1 is another one, but does not hold the max reading according to DJ. http://www.try-all-jpn.com/neutone/tire/tdm-1.html You might want to try RC Adviser Champ or ProShop Futaba for the TDM-1.
