My understanding it comes with front and rear CVDs - drive shafts not the wheel shafts. So its upgraded from diff to diff

I'm sure jspeed will correct me if I'm wrong - and Yes I have one of those from Winners Circle on the way - you are close to that on parts alone - to me it seems a no brainer - and think of all the engineering that went into it as well.

BUY IT - no tranny troubles - BUY IT

I guess with the tranny, some upgraded brakes and Dragon Racing bits - including chassis - I will have a BlackHawk LITE - maybe a GreyHawk - LOL

Yes he's correct it's a whole lotta tranny and congrats on ordering one too!

New clutch bell, gears, bearings, shims, spurs, 2-speed, the nicest chromemoly universal shafts you'll ever see and detailed instructions to make it all work as smooth as only a true World Champion Kyosho can be.

Bottom line.... it's a nice set-up for IGT2 racing.

The Ipanema Black Hawk SR transmission conversion for IGT1 cars is next!

Let go GT racing..

Do you still use the stock 2 speed shaft for this conversion?

I use 50k front and 10k rear. It really helps with wheel spin and cornering.

The Ipanema Black Hawk SR transmission conversion kit comes with all you'll need, including detailed instructions that make it easy to do.

The IGT1 conversion has also been tested and works great too. More conversion kits should start shipping to Ipanema Dealers the end of this week. Get those pre-orders in guys, they're selling out fast

ww,
I already have the two speed clutch and gears. It looks like it will still use the GT2 clutch bell and pinions as well. What kind of mod needs to be done on the two speed shaft?

I will let Jspeed give you the details about the conversion, but it does not reuse the stock 2 speed components except for the shaft, it uses Kyosho Evolva parts.

How else could you get one of these transmission conversions if you don't have a LHS that does business with Ipanema Sports? I would like one for both my cars (IGT1 & IGT2) but there is not a LHS near me that does business with you.

Also, how could I get some of those 1/10th scale rubber tires for my nitro & electric touring cars? I would like to try them out on our carpet track (we run a rubber tire class) and for outdoor concrete/asphalt racing.

Juan, BMI is a Ipanema dealer, next best choice would be Lee Muse at:

http://www.gasrccar.com/

I have known him for years.

Thanks for the link Will. Checked it out but did not see any info for ordering the new 2-speed other than promo information from the Ipanema site. Guess I will have to contact them personally in order to get one.

Juan

He may not have them yet. Give him call when you get a chance, he put together the GT racing program in the Atlanta area.

If I do this modification in my car will it be in the spec class or will it be on the open class??? I want to do the conversion but then my car will be in an open class I think and it won't be in the spec class. I think this mod is not allowed in the spec class. This is a very good advantage over the stock cars.
