Persevere with the PRO4 its a good car for 540. There are gears out there that will fit. Kawada is a brand that make a 65 48p spur, available thru most hongkong online retailers if not stocked locally. Kawada also do a line of pinions that are short enough to work on the PRO4 too.

Hey minnesh; if you`re using the 64 Pitch - 98-Spur on your Pro 4 with the Johnson 540 Motor.....you should use a 36,37 0r 38-Pinion(all 64 Pitch).
-Those Pinions will give you Max Speed on Turns and a Straight.

Default Look for the pitbull at Fort Bennet

When it gets warm, I will show people why the Pro 4 is still a formidable opponent. Not only will I come out with the 5700 Mamba on 7.4 volts to run in the modified, I will change the gearing, pop in an 11.1 volt and run with the 1/8 scale cars! Will be a shame to see a 1/10th scale car hanging with the big boys....and beating them!

Default Brushless is where its at...

Speed, runtime and cool temps, minimal maintennance...can't beat it. There are some dudes where I run that swear there little nitro cars are fast and dare chuckle at electric. Until a 4-tec with a 3.3 engine totally duffed me out, I was the nitro killer. If dudes weren't running OS 12 TZ or RB something or whatever, it was a wrap! I am gunning for that guy (no pun intended) that smoked me when I drop the Mamba in my car. For course racing, I am going to add weight and adjust the shocks to react like it's a nitro to handle the corner pushing speeds, but oh well. And remember, brushes are for hair!

Hey bxpitbull.....calm-down with that Brushless Speed.....Ha Ha!
I`m tired of hearing those Nitro Guys talk that junk about Nitro is faster than Electric. . . . .Electric owns the Speed Record(with Brushless Motors). . . . .They need to know that.

I`m still using My Brushed Motors. I`ll be using a 13-Turn Motor in My Pro 4. I`m working on getting the right Pinion for it(31 or 32-Pinion with the 98-Spur).

Hey trjracing; I like to to that type of Drag Racing.....I call it: The 2 Fast 2 Furious Loop.
I Race guys in/on the Loop in a few ways:
-There and Back(1 Loop)
-Lap Loops
--Lap Loops - Change Sides

Racing for over 100-Feet sounds cool; but today isn`t Warm enough.
-Tomorrow might be better.....50-Degrees.....What Time?

We can race when it warmer if u want or if u want to race we can do it here in the BX in Throgsneck by bruckner hobbies we can meet up there or we can wait until we reach better wheather and do it in april. Some guys dont like to race in this cold but i will race as long as the streets are clean and flat. The cold doesn't bother me. I have a location where i race and test my cars at. Let me know what u want to do. What are u runnin???

If you`re using a Fast - Brushless Motor; you`ll kill me.

In My Pro 4:
-10 or 13-Turn Reedy Ti Worlds Edition Motor
-Orion/Intellect 4200 Ni-MH Batteries
-Futaba MC800V2 ESC
-Futaba 2PL Radio(don`t laugh.....I like R.C.; but I not Crazy to Spend.....Ha Ha!)
-Futaba Reciever
-Sorex 36R Tires

I have a TB Evo 5; but I only run 19-Turn in it.....for now.
