I chose to leave the program, it is a little bittersweet to leave a good team, with a good group of guys, but I wanted to enjoy racing more. They will be just fine.

outside hole on rear arms w/ foam tires
Ok, so you want to try the outside hole on the rear arms with foam tires, but what's ya gonna do? The shock rubs the rim!
First off get TC4 shock ends for your car (31030 TC4 Shock Shaft Ball Cups 4 $2.99). This makes the shock end "footprint" physically smaller.
Then get some short Atlas ballstuds--

The ballstud is really short and gets the shock end very close to the arm. The rim will still be close to the shock end, and may *slightly* rub smaller rims, but it should disappear arter like 1 run. I checked it on an old, original TRC white spoke rim. This rim is smaller than the new JACOs, TRC, etc. It barely touched,. As I said before, this would just wear in after a pack. On the TM tires I usually run, there was plenty of room.
edit: you wil also have to crank down the spring collars a bit. The TC4 end is bit shorter.

If a thick and heavy duty grease is desired (to prevent it from being flung off), try to get the HPI Pro Joint Grease. It seems to be very much thicker than most of the R/C grease that is available in the market.
Very useful for extending the life of aluminium spools.

Diff Question
I have built my rear diff with delrin outdrives and the TC3 parts. I ran for 2 months in a stock rubber class with not problems, didn't even need to adjust the diff.
Well, this past week, I switched to Stock Foam class. I ran two qualifyers and a main. The diff started slipping in the main and got looser as the race went on.
The question I have is, does the diff just need to be rebuild or do foam tires require a tighter diff? Also, in stock rubber, I ran my diff pretty loose, but did not slip. Maybe I don't need to run my diff that loose in the stock foam class.

StewartFan20: It sounds like a rebuild is in order, but it might also be slipping in addition. 2 months sounds like a long time between rebuilds depending on how much you run.
MDawson: Hope you like the car! The HPI spool is good, but as others have said, keep it lubricated well. We went with the aluminum, as the steel was way too heavy for only a slight wear reduction. Also, we wanted them to be as cheap as possible... $14 or $15 vs $15 for a diff rebuild. So in a way, it's consumable or should be replaced at no more cost than rebuilding a diff with new balls and rings.
JohnB: I believe they were shipped out last batch, or are possibly going in the next. They will have an update sheet included to let you know they are updated parts.
